जून, 2019 में औद्योगिक विकास दर 2.0 प्रतिशत रही

विनिर्माण क्षेत्र के 23 उद्योग समूहों में से 8 समूहों ने जून, 2019 के दौरान धनात्मक वृद्धि दर दर्ज की

अप्रैल-जून, 2019 में औद्योगिक विकास दर 3.6 फीसदी आंकी गई

जून, 2019 में खनन, विनिर्माण एवं बिजली क्षेत्रों की उत्‍पादन वृद्धि दर क्रमश: 1.6 फीसदी, 1.2 फीसदी तथा 8.2 फीसदी रही

जून, 2019 में औद्योगिक उत्‍पादन सूचकांक (आईआईपी) 130.2 अंक रहा जो जून, 2018 के मुकाबले 2.0 फीसदी ज्‍यादा है। इसका मतलब यही है कि जून, 2019 में औद्योगिक विकास दर 2.0 फीसदी रही। उधरअप्रैल-जून, 2019 में औद्योगिक विकास दर पिछले वित्त वर्ष की समान अवधि की तुलना में 3.6 फीसदी आंकी गई है।
जून, 2019 में खननविनिर्माण (मैन्‍युफैक्‍चरिंग) एवं बिजली क्षेत्रों की उत्‍पादन वृद्धि दर जून, 2018 के मुकाबले क्रमश: 1.6 फीसदी, 1.2 फीसदी तथा 8.2 फीसदी रही। उधरअप्रैल-जून 2019 में इन तीनों क्षेत्रों यानी सेक्‍टरों की उत्‍पादन वृद्धि दर पिछले वित्‍त वर्ष की समान अवधि की तुलना में क्रमश: 3.0, 3.1 तथा 7.2 फीसदी आंकी गई है।
उद्योगों की दृष्टि से विनिर्माण क्षेत्र के 23 उद्योग समूहों (दो अंकों वाली एनआईसी-2008 के अनुसार) में से समूहों ने जून, 2018 की तुलना में जून, 2019 के दौरान धनात्मक वृद्धि दर दर्ज की है। इस दौरान बुनियादी धातुओं के विनिर्माण’ ने 17.7 प्रतिशत की सर्वाधिक धनात्‍मक वृद्धि दर दर्ज की है। इसके बाद ‘खाद्य उत्पादों के विनिर्माण’ का नम्बर आता है जिसने 16.5 प्रतिशत की धनात्‍मक वृद्धि दर दर्ज की है। इसी तरह ‘तंबाकू उत्‍पादों के विनिर्माण’ ने 10.3 प्रतिशत की धनात्‍मक वृद्धि दर दर्ज की है। वहींदूसरी ओर उद्योग समूह ‘कागज एवं कागज उत्‍पादों के विनिर्माण’ ने (-) 19.9 प्रतिशत की सर्वाधिक ऋणात्‍मक वृद्धि दर दर्ज की है। इसके बाद'फर्नीचर के विनिर्माणका नंबर आता है जिसने (-) 14.3 प्रतिशत की ऋणात्‍मक वृद्धि दर दर्ज की है। इसी तरह मोटर वाहनों, ट्रेलरों एवं सेमी-ट्रेलरों के विनिर्माण ने (-) 13.9 प्रतिशत की ऋणात्‍मक वृद्धि दर दर्ज की है।
उपयोग आधारित वर्गीकरण के अनुसार जून, 2019 में प्राथमिक वस्‍तुओं (प्राइमरी गुड्स)पूंजीगत सामानमध्‍यवर्ती वस्तुओं एवं बुनियादी ढांचागत/निर्माण वस्‍तुओं की उत्‍पादन वृद्धि दर जून, 2018 की तुलना में क्रमश: 0.5 फीसदी, (-) 6.5, 12.4 फीसदी और (-)1.8 फीसदी रही। जहां तक टिकाऊ उपभोक्‍ता सामान का सवाल हैइनकी उत्‍पादन वृद्धि दर जून, 2019 में (-) 5.5 फीसदी रही है। इसी तरह गैर-टिकाऊ उपभोक्‍ता सामान की उत्‍पादन वृद्धि दर जून, 2019 में 7.8 फीसदी रही।

QUICK ESTIMATES OF INDEX OF INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION AND USEBASED INDEX FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL, 2018 (BASE 2011-12=100) 

The Quick Estimates of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) with base 2011-12 for the month of April 2018 have been released by the Central Statistics Office of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. IIP is compiled using data received from 14 source agencies viz. (i) Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP); (ii) Indian Bureau of Mines; (iii) Central Electricity Authority; (iv) Joint Plant Committee, Ministry of Steel; (v) Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas; (vi) Office of Textile Commissioner; (vii) Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals; (viii) Directorate of Sugar & Vegetable Oils; (ix) Department of Fertilizers; (x) Tea Board; (xi) Office of Jute Commissioner; (xii) Office of Coal Controller; (xiii) Railway Board; and (xiv) Coffee Board. 2. 

The General Index for the month of April 2018 stands at 123.0, which is 4.9 percent higher as compared to the level in the month of April 2017. The cumulative growth for the period April-March 2017-18 over the corresponding period of the previous year stands at 4.3 percent. 3. The Indices of Industrial Production for the Mining, Manufacturing and Electricity sectors for the month of April 2018 stand at 103.8, 123.4 and 153.7 respectively, with the corresponding growth rates of 5.1 percent, 5.2 percent and 2.1 percent as compared to April 2017 (Statement I). The cumulative growth in these three sectors during April-March 2017-18 over the corresponding period of 2016-17 has been 2.3 percent, 4.5 percent and 5.4 percent respectively. 4. In terms of industries, sixteen out of the twenty three industry groups (as per 2-digit NIC-2008) in the manufacturing sector have shown positive growth during the month of April 2018 as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (Statement II). The industry group ‘Manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products’ has shown the highest positive growth of 27.5 percent followed by 21.9 percent in ‘Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers’ and 15.7 percent in ‘Manufacture of food products’. On the other hand, the industry group ‘Other manufacturing’ has shown the highest negative growth of (-) 30.7 percent followed by (-) 13.4 percent in ‘Manufacture of wearing apparel’ and (-) 10.3 percent in ‘Printing and reproduction of recorded media’. 

As per Use-based classification, the growth rates in April 2018 over April 2017 are 3.1 percent in Primary goods, 13.0 percent in Capital goods, 1.6 percent in Intermediate goods and 7.5 percent in Infrastructure/ Construction Goods (Statement III). The Consumer durables and Consumer non-durables have recorded growth of 4.3 percent and 7.0 percent respectively. 6. Some important item groups showing high positive growth during the current month over the same month in previous year include ‘Sugar’ (156.5%), ‘Construction machine/ equipment (incl. bull-dozers and road rollers)’ (110.4%), ‘Stainless steel utensils’ (101.7%), ‘Commercial Vehicles’ (94.3%), ‘Printed Circuit Boards (whether or not mounted with IC chips /components)’ (69.3%), ‘Steroids and hormonal preparations (including anti-fungal preparations)’ (45.8%), ‘Transformers (Small)’ (45.1%) and ‘Polymers (incl. Polyethylene, PVC, Poly propylene)’ (26.2%). 7. Some important item groups that have registered high negative growth include ‘Jewellery of gold (studded with stones or not)’ [(-) 75.1%], ‘Antimalarial drugs’ [(-) 65.9%], ‘Air filters’ [(-) 52.2%], ‘Copper bars, rods & wire rods’ [(-) 40.9%], ‘Telephones and mobile instruments’ [(-) 38.4%], ‘Paper of all kinds excluding newsprint’ [(-) 37.8%], ‘Bags/ pouches of HDPE/ LDPE (plastic)’ [(-) 37.6%], ‘Copper electrodes’ [(-) 34.1%], ‘Plastic components of packing/ closing/ bottling articles & of electrical fittings’ [(-) 30.0%], ‘Separators including decanter centrifuge’ [(-)25.8%], ‘Pesticides-technical grade’ [(-) 24.9%] and ‘Readymade Garments, knitted’ [(-) 20.6%]. 8.

The Quick Estimates of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) with base 2011-12 for the month of February 2018 have been released by the Central Statistics Office of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. 2. The General Index for the month of February 2018 stands at 127.7, which is 7.1 percent higher as compared to the level in the month of February 2017. The cumulative growth for the period April-February 2017-18 over the corresponding period of the previous year stands at 4.3 percent.
3. The Indices of Industrial Production for the Mining, Manufacturing and Electricity sectors for the month of February 2018 stand at 110.2, 130.1 and 136.1 respectively, with the corresponding growth rates of (-) 0.3 percent, 8.7 percent and 4.5 percent as compared to February 2017 (Statement I). The cumulative growth in these three sectors during April-February 2017-18 over the corresponding period of 2016-17has been 2.3 percent, 4.6 percent and 5.2 percent respectively.
4.In terms of industries, fifteen out of the twenty three industry groups (asper 2-digit NIC-2008) in the manufacturing sector have shown positive growth during the month of February 2018 as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year (Statement II).The industry group ‘Manufacture of other transport equipment’ has shown the highest positive growth of 32.0 percent followed by 26.9 percent in ‘Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c.’ and 19.9 percent in ‘Manufacture of  motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers’. On the other hand, the industry group ‘Other manufacturing’ has shown the highest negative growth of (-) 27.3 percent followed by (-) 9.4 percent in ‘Printing and reproduction of recorded media’ and (-) 8.2 percent in ‘Manufacture of rubber and plastics products’.
5. As per Use-based classification, the growth rates in February 2018 over February 2017 are 3.7 percent in Primarygoods, 20.0 percent in Capital goods, 3.3 percent in Intermediate goods and 12.6 percent in Infrastructure/ Construction Goods (Statement III). The Consumer durables and Consumer non-durables have recorded growth of 7.9 percent and 7.4 percent respectively.
6. Some important item groups showing high positive growth during the current month over the same month in previous year include ‘Separators including decanter centrifuge’ (214.4%), ‘Stainless steel utensils’ (158.3%), ‘Bodies of trucks, lorries and trailers’ (149.2%), ‘Ship building and parts thereof’ (107.8%), ‘Sugar’ (60.1%), ‘Bars and Rods of Alloy and Stainless Steel’ (58.1%), ‘Vaccine for veterinary medicine’ (51.4%),‘Steroids and hormonal preparations (including anti-fungal preparations)’ (41.3%), ‘Axle’ (40.2%), ‘Commercial Vehicles’ (30.6%), ‘Two-wheelers (motorcycles/ scooters)’ (29.6%), ‘Industrial Valves of different types- safety, relief and control valves(non-electronic, non-electrical)’ (27.7%)  and ‘Cement- all types’ (23.8%).
7.Some important item groups that have registered high negative growth include ‘Hand Tools incl. interchangeable tools, not mechanised’ [(-) 68.0%], ‘Jewellery of gold (studded with stones or not)’ [(-) 66.9%], ‘Material handling, lifting and hoisting equipment’ [(-) 46.6%], ‘Paper of all kinds excluding newsprint’ [(-) 34.5%], ‘Bags/ pouches of HDPE/ LDPE (plastic)’ [(-) 33.0%], ‘Plastic components of packing/ closing/ bottling articles & of electrical fittings’ [(-) 30.9%], ‘Medical/ surgical accessories’ [(-) 27.4%], ‘Telephones and mobile instruments’ [(-) 23.8%],‘Agarbatti’   [(-) 23.1%], ‘Anti-pyretic, analgesic/anti-inflammatory API & formulations’ [(-)23.1%], ‘Generators/ Alternators’ [(-) 22.6%] and‘Other tobacco products’  [(-) 22.3%].
